Florida law states that any person, firm partnership, or corporation that buys, sells, offers for sale, displays for sale or deals in three or more motor vehicles in any 12-month period is presumed to be a motor vehicle dealer and must have an appropriate license issued by the State. The FIADA is licensed by the State of Florida as a motor vehicle dealer training school. The school has an experienced and well trained group of instructors who are also licensed by the state to provide training to new and existing dealers. Class time is 16 hours over a two day period. Classes for new and prospective dealers are held monthly throughout the state. The classes cover a broad range of topics that are needed for dealers to be successful in their business. They include topics from the following agencies: Division of Motor Vehicles, Department of Legal Affairs, Department of Revenue, Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Banking and Finance.
Registering for the class is simple and easy. You can register online with a credit card, or call 1-888-587-0004 and have your credit card ready. We do accept checks and payment at the door. However, each student is encouraged to pre-register to ensure a seat for the class. This training is required in order for a person to apply for a state motor vehicle dealer license. The certificate issued at the end of the class is valid for six months.
