Every year seems to bring a new set of regulations, seminal legal opinions and changing agency guidance that employers must address in order to minimize their legal exposure in the workplace. As we move into the next year, this session will discuss common legal issues dealership mangers face and how to appropriately handle situations. Changes have impacted a wide spectrum of employment practices ranging from hiring procedures to how we manage leave. Also, as the boom in wage-hour lawsuits continues unabated and the EEOC’s enforcement efforts thrive, we will look to steps you can take to ward off or at least minimize those claims. Presenter Bio:

David Buchsbaum is a partner with Fisher & Phillips, Fort Lauderdale office. His practice involves representation of management in all areas of labor and employment law. A significant portion of his practice focuses on wage and hour law, emphasizing issues relating to minimum wage, overtime, timekeeping, and wage-payment requirements. As a key member of the Dealership Practice Group, David is experienced in advising and representing automobile dealerships. David is "AV" Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2013.
