FLHSMV Dealer License Renewal 
Applications due by April 30th

The license renewal notice will be emailed from the department to dealers on February 14, 2014.



To all independent dealers, auction dealers, wholesale dealers and salvage dealers licensed in the State of Florida, your current license will expire on April 30, 2014. Please submit form HSMV 86720, "Renewal Application for Motor Vehicle, Mobile Home, or Recreational Vehicle Dealers" and all supporting documentation to your regional office by April 30th. Form HSMV 86720 can be located on the Department's website at

FTC Announces Sweep Against 10 Auto Dealers

The Federal Trade Commission announced today that nine auto dealers agreed to settle deceptive advertising charges, and the agency is taking action against a 10th dealer, in a nationwide sweep focusing on the sale, financing, and leasing of motor vehicles. Read More.

Some, not all, Florida motor vehicle fees could return to pre-recession levels
